The key twist in FreeCell Solitaire is that all the cards are visible from the beginning. The game begins with seven tableau piles, with one card in the first pile, two cards in the second, and so on. All cards are face-up, and players can move whole sequences of cards or individual cards between tableau piles. The goal is to build up four foundation piles, one for each suit, in ascending order.
