If successful, that player's score is reduced by 26 points, while every other player's score increases by 26 points. To make the game more exciting, you can introduce a twist where players can declare a "Double Moon" or a "Triple Moon". A Double Moon would reduce the player's score by 52 points while a Triple Moon would reduce it by 78 points, dramatically altering the outcome of the game.
6. Penalty Suit
In this variation, one of the suits (usually Hearts) is designated as the penalty suit. Any player who wins a trick containing a card from the penalty suit collects penalty points equal to the face value of that card. The rest of the scoring remains unchanged. This twist adds an extra layer of strategy as players must decide whether to win or avoid winning certain tricks based on the penalty suit card present.
