  2. Connect one end of the red jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery and the other end to the positive terminal of the jump starter.
  3. Connect one end of the black jumper cable to the negative (-) terminal of the jump starter.
  4. In the diesel vehicle, connect the other end of the black jumper cable to a clean metal part on the engine block. Avoid the negative (-) terminal of the dead battery.
  5. Turn on the jump starter and wait for a few minutes to allow the glow plug system in the diesel engine to warm up.
  6. Start the diesel engine. If it doesn't start immediately, wait for a couple of minutes and try again.
  7. Once the diesel engine starts, remove the cables in reverse order.
