How to Use Apple AirTag

Apple AirTag is a small, coin-shaped device that helps you track and locate your belongings using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This article will guide you through the setup process and how to make the most of your AirTag.

1. Get Started

  1. Unbox your AirTag and remove the plastic tab to activate it.
  2. Bring your AirTag close to your iPhone, and it will automatically detect it.

2. Attach AirTag to Your Belongings

Once you have set up your AirTag, it’s time to attach it to the belongings you want to keep track of. The AirTag comes with a built-in keychain hole that you can use to securely attach it to items such as keys, bags, wallets, or even your pets’ collar. Simply loop a keyring or any other attachment through the hole, making sure it is secure.

3. Locating Items with AirTag

When you misplace an item with your AirTag attached to it, you can use the Find My app to locate it.

  1. Open the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Select the "Items" tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Choose the AirTag you want to locate from the list of your connected items.
  4. The Find My app will show you the approximate location of your AirTag on a map.
  5. If the AirTag is nearby, you can tap the "Play Sound" button to make the AirTag play a sound, helping you find it.

4. Enable Lost Mode

  2. Choose the AirTag you want to remove.
  3. Scroll down and select "Remove This Item."
  4. Confirm by selecting "Remove" again.
