How do I trade in my device?

Here are your options for trading in a used mobile device to Verizon:

Trade-In and Switch

Once you have confirmed your eligibility, you can proceed with the following steps:

1. Visit the Verizon website and Search for "Trade-In" for your compatible phone. (you will go to the Trade-In Page.
2. Proceed to checkout and complete the transaction.
3. Once your new device or line is activated, Verizon will provide you a prepaid shipping label to send your old phone back to them. This phone must match the make and model you selected during the purchase process.
4. When Verizon receives your old phone, they will inspect it to ensure it meets the requirements of the promotion.
5. If your old phone is eligible, Verizon will credit your account with the agreed-upon amount, up to a maximum of $540, over a period of 24 months. This credit will be applied to your monthly bill.

  • Sign in to My Verizon, Orders > My Orders to view the code.

• Bring your device to a Verizon store - no packaging required.
  • Use our Store Locator and filter for "Verizon Company Store".
  • Authorized retailers don’t accept trade-ins.

• Request a shipping kit during the online trade-in.
  • If you requested a shipping kit but can't find or didn't receive it, request a replacement kit.
  • Send in only one device per package. If you requested shipping materials from us and did not receive the right quantity, contact the trade-in care team.

  • Use our return device instructions to help protect your device and speed the trade-in process.

What happens when I send or bring my trade-in to Verizon?

When we receive your device:

1. We send you an email confirmation.
2. Your device(s) is appraised and you get an email with the final appraised value based on make/model, eligibility and condition.
3. You receive credit for your device(s) in one of these ways:
   • Account credit applied within 1-2 bill cycles.
   • Verizon Gift Card, sent to the email address you provided during your trade-in request. This takes about 2 weeks from the time we receive your device and you accept the Agreements.
